Menominee County in northeastern Wisconsin…
Oconto County in northeastern Wisconsin…
Shawano County in northeastern Wisconsin…
* Until 1030 AM CDT.
* At 724 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to three inches of rain have already fallen from near
McAllister in extreme eastern Marinette county, across the bay, to
Washington Island. Up to another inch of rain is possible in
these areas. This will cause minor flooding.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Marinette, Shawano, Menominee, Oconto, Gillett, Wittenberg,
Crivitz, Mountain, Jacksonport and Wausaukee.
Rainfalls to the south and west across Shawano, Menominee, and
Oconto counties have not been as heavy thus far, but these areas
will likely receive 1 to 2 inches of rain in the next couple hours.
Minor flooding is expected to develop in these areas due to the
heavy rainfall.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
