The pedestrian Involved in the crash has been identified as 49 year old Jacuelin Johnson of Waupaca. The Waupaca Coutny Sheriff’s Office would like anyone with information regarding the crash to call their office at 715-258-4466.
On Saturday, September 15, 2019, the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office Communications
Center was notified of a pedestrian that had been walking on US Highway 10 near Fleet Farm.
The City of Waupaca Police Department and Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office Deputies
initially responded to the scene in an attempt to locate the female.
At 1:42 Am, the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center received another call
from a passerby indicating someone was possibly struck by a vehicle near the Waupaca Airport.
Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate that an unidentified female was struck by
an unidentified vehicle on the south shoulder of the highway near the Waupaca Airport.
The crash remains under investigation.
Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene to complete a traffic crash reconstruction. The
Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted by the City of Waupaca Police Department,
City of Waupaca Fire Department, Waupaca County Highway Department, and Gold Cross
Ambulance.
