Wisconsin law enforcement authorities say taking the law into your own hands is a bad idea. Attorney General Josh Kaul is strongly discouraging people not connected with official law enforcement agencies from acting as vigilantes. Kaul says a growing number of civilians have been trying to lure suspected online predators into meetings. Kaul says those actions put the vigilantes, the suspects and even innocent bystanders into danger. Vigilante sting operations are illegal in Wisconsin.
