Governor Tony Evers has declared a state of emergency after a strong line of thunderstorms left a trail of damage across Wisconsin. More than 33-thousand people were without power at one point Saturday and the high winds knocked down trees and several barns. The Wisconsin National Guard is cleared by the declaration to help local communities by the governor’s action. It also is the first step toward a request for federal aid to help pay for the clean-up.
