Wausau police say officers are searching for a missing sex offender who left a transitional housing unit earlier this week. Police think 30-year-old James Begay cut off his ankle monitor Monday. An arrest warrant has been issued. Begay was living near the Marathon County Courthouse after serving time for a 2012 sexual assault conviction. Police are hoping the public can help them track him down.
