(Kaukauna, WI) — Kaukauna firefighters say a couple living next door to a burning garage should be considered heroes after their actions Thursday afternoon. Crews with the Kaukauna Fire Department says the flames were already put out when they arrived. The husband had used a fire extinguisher, a five-gallon bucket and the water in a 55-gallon rain barrel to put out the fire. His wife alerted the four adults and four children in the home to get out. Nobody was injured and no names have been released.
