A group of state lawmakers is proposing an M-V-P week in December to recognize professional athletes in Wisconsin who have won most valuable player awards. Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers have been all named M-V-P in their respective leagues. All three athletes celebrate birthdays in December and the legislators introduced a resolution Thursday that would designate the first week of December 2019 as “M-V-P Week in Wisconsin.” The six lawmakers say pro athletes in Wisconsin have earned a total of 22 M-V-P awards for the Packers, Bucks and Brewers.
