While the Shawano County Library and its five branches have many great programs and activities planned throughout the summer, if you find you are too busy to stop in, there are many great opportunities still available to you!
eBooks and audiobooks are available through Overdrive, Wisconsin’s digital library. Overdrive houses over 50,000 eBooks and 18,000 audiobooks available to checkout on your mobile device. In addition to adult titles, Overdrive includes a ton of titles for children and teens.
hoopla is another digital library that offers instant access to digital movies, music, TV shows, comics, eBooks and more. With hoopla, there is no waiting list- every item is available to checkout 24/7/365! All titles can be streamed immediately or downloaded to your device to use at a later time.
Tumblebooks are animated children’s picture books offered in both English and Spanish. This resource includes fiction and non-fiction titles, games, puzzles, and read-alongs.
MyHeritage and HeritageQuest are resources that should not be missed by history buffs and those interested in genealogy. MyHeritage offers over 9 million records, just waiting to be explored. HeritageQuest covers historical information from 60 countries, dating back to the 1700s.
All of these resources (and more!) are available from Shawano County Library free of charge. They can be accessed while visiting the library or from anywhere with an internet connection by visiting infosoup.org.
