Witnesses tell investigators the 43-year-old man who suffered critical injuries in a weekend shooting had talked of being shot by police. Two Outagamie County deputies are on administrative leave while the Saturday shooting is investigated. Jakeus Meltz was angry and ended up in a standoff in Little Chute. The deputies say they opened fire when Meltz went for his gun. The information gathered suggests he wanted to be shot.
