Water levels on Lake Michigan, which are approaching long-standing records, are also having an effect on the Fox River, the East River and Duck Creek in the Green Bay area. The National Weather Service says anytime there is a strong northeast wind, the flow of the rivers is reduced and that can cause flooding. The Green Bay Marathon was canceled recently, despite relatively little rain the day before. More rain is expected this week, meaning the problem isn’t going away anytime soon.
