Starr, who guided the organization to five NFL championships, died on Sunday morning in Birmingham, Alabama. Starr’s health had been in decline after suffering a mini-stroke in Madison in 2012. He suffered another stroke, a heart attack and multiple seizures in 2014, then underwent stem cell treatments in 2015 and 2016. His last appearance in Green Bay was in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1967 championship team. Starr, who played for the Packers from 1956 to 1971, was 85.
