Wendell J. “Skull” Penass, age 57 of Neopit, started his journey to the Spirit World on Monday evening, Mary 13, 2019 in Green Bay.
Wendell was born May 2, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of the late Arnold and Edith (Corn) Penass. He attended school in Chicago before moving to Neopit. He worked for many years at Menominee Tribal Enterprises, and later was a semi driver. Wendell is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. He enjoyed fishing, riding in the woods, and hunting.
Survivors include his significant other, Kathy “Sue” Haack of Neopit; three sons, Wendell Penass of Keshena, Wade Penass of Shawano, and Aaron Penass of Gillett; one daughter, April Webster of Green Bay; two grandchildren, Denzel Penass and Samuel Penass; his brother, Martin Penass of Green Bay; his sister, Cass Penass of Chicago; his aunts, Susan Oshkosh of Keshena, and Elaine Oku of Chicago; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
A Funeral Mass for Wendell will be celebrated on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. Fr. Nonito Barra will be the Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 after 8:00 PM at the Neopit Community Center and continue until the time of Mass on Friday
