Formal charges are expected this week in the beating death of two-year-old Gilbert A. Grant the Second in Two Rivers. Authorities have released details of the beatings the child had to endure over an eight-month period before he finally died. His mother and her two roommates made appearances in Manitowoc County Circuit Court Monday. David Heiden admitted to pushing the boy so he would fall over and shaking so he would go to sleep. The child’s mother, Rena Santiago, says she and Bianca Bush hit the boy with a belt, a shoe and their hands.
