Hillcrest Primary School in Shawano was put on secure hold this morning. Shawano Police Captain Brad Rabideau said the hold went into effect after a fugitive with warrants ran from a residence were another fugitive was being arrested. At 7:30 this morning, the Shawano Police Department, along with Tribal Police and the F.B.I., were working in conjunction when the individual fled. He was shoe less and not wearing a shirt. Police are continuing their search for the second fugitive, but do not consider the public to be in danger. The secure shut down at Hillcrest was issued because of concerns for safety.
