The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a complaint on behalf of students attending Greendale Public Schools who say there is an unhealthy racist culture in the system. The A-C-L-U of Wisconsin claims the school district isn’t doing enough to fight what some students are calling a growing atmosphere of racial hostility. They say things started getting bad when a student was suspended after confronting another student who had used a racial slur. The district promised changes, but Chanese Knox’s mother says things have only gotten worse. A fifth-grade student is seen on one of two videos posted to social media using repeated racial slurs.
