
Following a judge’s ruling striking down the lame duck laws that restricted the Governor’s power, Governor Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul are pulling the state out of a lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act. That ruling also struck down over 80 appointments that were made during the lame duck session, and Governor Evers says he’ll be examining those as well.
Governor Evers:
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald declined recorded interviews, and said in a statement that extraordinary sessions were common and they’d be appealing the ruling.
