The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is providing a listing of state highway construction projects scheduled in calendar year 2019. The list includes all WisDOT Northeast Region projects on interstates, the United States highway system, and the Wisconsin state highway system. This is a tentative listing, and additional projects may be added based on funding levels. 2019 highway projects are listed by county below. The Northeast Region includes the counties of Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond du Lac, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Oconto, Outagamie, Sheboygan, and Winnebago.

NORTHEAST REGION MUTIPLE COUNTY PROJECTS
Sign Bridge Repair and Replacement
Location/limits: Various highways in Brown, Door, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Marinette, Outagamie, Sheboygan, Winnebago.
Construction schedule: Fall 2019
Description of work: Work includes minor repair of existing sign bridges in Northeast Wisconsin.
Traffic impacts: Work will be performed under traffic with lane closures and flagging operations. Some repairs will require short-term shoulder and lane closures. Peak-hour work restrictions and message boards will be utilized for some closures.

Bridge Deck Sealing
Location/limits: Marinette, Oconto, Brown
Construction schedule: This is a 25-working day contract within the 2019 construction season. Start date TBA.
Description of work: This project performs deck sealing maintenance operations on various overpasses and bridges in Northeast Wisconsin.
Traffic impacts: Work will be completed under traffic with lane closures and flagging operations.

BROWN COUNTY
WIS 32(Ashland Avenue) and Parkview Road Intersection Improvement
Location/limits: WIS 32/Ashland Avenue and Parkview Road intersection in the city of De Pere
Length of project: Intersection only
Construction schedule: May through September 2019
Description of work: This project will modify the WIS 32/Ashland Avenue and Parkview Road intersection by realigning the Parkview Road approach creating an offset-T intersection with slotted left-turn lanes on Ashland Avenue. This will address right-angle crash issues at this location. The project includes hot mix asphalt pavement, grading, and storm sewer.
Traffic impacts: WIS 32/Ashland Avenue will be open to traffic at all times during the project. Lane closures will take place at certain times during construction. Parkview Road and access to businesses will be maintained throughout the project.

US 41 Resurfacing carryover work from 2018
Location/limits: US 41 from Lineville Road to Norfield Road within the village of Suamico
Length of project: 4.75 miles
Construction schedule: March 2018 to early summer 2019
Description of work: 2019 finishing work: A section of cable guard will be installed. Polymer overlays will take place on the bridge decks for US 41/US 141 over Riverside Drive, County B, and the CN Railroad.
Traffic impacts: I-41 traffic will be maintained in both lanes in each direction during peak travel times. Lane closures and ramp closures will be allowed during non-peak hours. See project website for more information.

WIS 172/Fox River Bridge Painting
Location/limits: WIS 172 bridge over the Fox River in the villages of Ashwaubenon and Allouez
Length of project: 0.75 miles
Construction schedule: May 2018 to November 2019 (Construction starts March 27 following winter shutdown.)
Description of work: Blasting and painting of steel girders under the bridge. Temporary causeway installed in the river to allow equipment access to barges.
Traffic impacts: Off-peak lane closures on WIS 172 and WIS 57 (Riverside Drive). Shoulder closures on WIS 172. Various ramp closures of WIS 57/172 ramps. Flagging operations and various night closures of the Fox River Recreational Trail and Ashwaubomay Recreational Trail directly under the bridge. Boat traffic should be mindful of construction barge traffic and containment systems hanging below the bridge girders.

OCONTO COUNTY
US 41 Median Cable Guard Installation
Location/limits: US 41 through the towns of Little Suamico, Abrams and Oconto.
Length of project: 11.47 miles
Construction schedule: Late spring to early summer 2019
Description of work: Carryover work from 2018 project includes installation of remaining cable barrier, pavement markings, and landscaping.
Traffic impacts: Majority of project will be completed under traffic using lane closures during off-peak hours.

Peshtigo Brook Wetland Mitigation Site
Location/limits: Along WIS 64 in the towns of Brazeau and Bagley.
Construction schedule: Mid-summer to late fall 2019
Description of work: Wetland mitigation site construction by converting agricultural land to wetlands.
Traffic impacts: Majority of work will be completed in agricultural areas with minimal impact to traffic. Lane closures on WIS 64 will be allowed for approximately one week to install drainage structures. During lane closures, traffic will be maintained via flagging operations.

WIS 32 Mountain Resurfacing
Location/limits: WIS 32 from County AA to Parkway Drive in the town of Mountain
Length of project: 4.96 miles
Construction schedule: June through September 2019
Description of work: This project includes milling and resurfacing with hot mix asphalt pavement, applying pavement marking, and installing centerline and shoulder rumble strips.
Traffic impacts: WIS 32 will be open to traffic during construction. Work will be conducted using lane closures and flagging operations.

WIS 32 North Branch Oconto River Bridge Deck Overlay
Location/limits: North Branch Oconto River Bridge
Length of project: On bridge
Construction schedule: June through August 2019
Description of work: This project is a bridge deck overlay on WIS 32 over the North Branch of the Oconto River and includes resurfacing of the approaches.
Traffic impacts: The bridge deck overlay will be completed in halves to maintain at least one lane of traffic for the duration of the work. WIS 32 will be open to traffic during construction, but will be reduced to a single lane with the use of temporary traffic signals.

WIS 32 Mountain to Lakewood Resurfacing
Project limits: WIS 32 from County W in the town of Mountain to Big Hill Road in the town of Lakewood

Wolf River Bridge Fishing Platforms
Location/limits: WIS 116 (Main Street) in village of Winneconne from 2nd Street to 2nd Avenue
Length of project: Wolf River Bridge
Construction schedule: New fishing platforms construction from late 2018 to fall 2019.
Description of work: Construct two new fishing platforms in the location of former WIS 116 bridge that extend out roughly 230 feet from each river bank,
Traffic impacts: WIS 116 will remain open to two-way traffic on new bridge with flagging operations during construction of new fishing platforms. There may be short-term closures of North 1stStreet and North 1st Avenue.
