A Manitowoc County Circuit judge has bound a 15-year-old suspect over for trial on first-degree reckless homicide charges. Damian Hauschultz appeared at a preliminary hearing Tuesday. He and his parents face charges in the death of seven-year-old Ethan Hauschultz last April. Investigators say the victim was hit, kicked, poked, repeatedly shoved to the ground, had a heavy log rolled over his body and was completely buried in snow. An autopsy determined he died of hypothermia and head, chest and stomach injuries.
