A 22-year-old man sentenced to 10 years in prison for causing a fatal accident last June says he deserves the time behind bars. Gavin Veium apologized to the court for driving while he was under the influence of drugs. Forty-five-year-old Diano McCullough was killed when the S-U-V he was driving burst into flames after it was rear-ended. The judge noted that Veium violated the conditions of his release on bail at least three times while he was waiting for his trial to start.
