A federal judge has sentenced a former Green Bay woman to four years in prison for a tax fraud scheme which netted her more than 300-thousand dollars. Forty-year-old Alma Ramirez pleaded guilty last November. The U-S Attorney’s office says Ramirez — now residing in Alabama — admitted preparing and filing more than 60 false tax returns with the I-R-S over a three-year period. Ramirez could have been sentenced to more than 20 years on her plea.
