The Pulaski School Board is renewing its search for a new superintendent after its top choice turned down the position. The board had agreed to hire Jason Lau, principal of Westwood Elementary School in De Pere, following a round of interviews and a meet and greet with the Pulaski Community. A day later Lau said he was no longer interested in the job. In a statement, Lau said he decided that “at this time I am better suited to work more closely with students as principal of Westwood Elementary School, rather than focus on the administrative responsibilities of a superintendent.” The board’s options include considering other candidates from the applicant pool, starting the search over or going with an interim superintendent.
