
Allan “Moose” Radtke, age 71, of Marion passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton.
Allan Lee Radtke was born on March 18, 1947 in Clintonville to Oscar and Elda (Schmidt) Radtke. He grew up in Marion and graduated from Marion High School. He was united in marriage in 1968 to Susan Steinke at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion, and the couple was blessed with two children. Moose was employed at Waupaca Foundry in both Waupaca and Etowah, TN, for close to 22 years, retiring in 2018.
Moose was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion. He enjoyed woodworking and built all sorts of items for people. His other interests included deer hunting, trout fishing, and fishing trips out west with friends. Moose was always a hard-working individual and unselfishly helped out others whenever possible.
Survivors include two children, Tammy Radtke of Winchester and Brad Radtke of Clintonville. There are four grandchildren, Austin Schultz, Matthew Radtke, Adam Radtke, and Elizabeth Radtke; and one great grandson, Landon Freeman. There is one brother, Harlan (Linda) Radtke of Shawano, a niece Jodi (Jed) Nord, and a nephew Eric (Kim) Radtke. There is an “adopted son”, Steve (Marti) Hale and their family in Etowah, TN. Moose is further survived by many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 14th at 11:00 AM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, with Rev. Beth Macha officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
