Shawano County Sheriff’s Department along with several other agencies was on the scene of a rollover accident on Highway 29 and Nightingale Road just west of Wittenberg. According to the information received the semi truck hauling an asphalt product lost control and rolled over on its side. The driver was taken to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau and authorities were able to get another semi from Stevens Point to come and offload the tipped semi. Besides law enforcement and state Patrol, several area firefighters were on scene and the Hazmat Teams from Shawano and Marathon Counties were able to assist at the scene. Wittenberg Fire was scene for over seven hours.
