Problems with maintenance, personal hygiene and medication persisted for years before employees and residents were abruptly kicked out of Atrium senior living homes last week. Federal inspection reports document issues such as black mold, splinters sticking out of wooden doors, a lack of food and improper medicine delivery to residents. The inspections involve four Atrium Health and Senior Living homes in Weston, Appleton, Neenah, and Chilton. The shutdowns started Jan. 23, about four months after Atrium Health and Senior Living entered receivership.
