Mary A. Johnson, age 86, of Marion passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah.

Her husband preceded her in death on July 26, 1995.
For many years Mary was employed at Marion State Bank; first as a teller and then in the bookkeeping department, until retiring in 1997. After retiring from the bank, she continued to work part-time with the hot lunch program at Marion Elementary School, serving at Northwinds Banquet Hall, and helping out at Rulseh Pharmacy. She was always active in helping out her community and church. Mary volunteered with the Meals-on-Wheels program, served meals for the homeless, and helped out at Caroline Colorama and the Iola Car Show.
She liked spending time with lady friends at the “roundtable” at Steve & Mary’s Cafe most mornings. Mary enjoyed golfing, playing bridge with her card club, family get-togethers, morning walks, and working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed wintering in Texas with many special friends from the retirement park. She was an avid Packers and Brewers fan and rarely missed watching a game. Mary loved spending time with her family and had a special skillet to make her “famous” pancakes for her grandchildren. She will be remembered most as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother.
Survivors include her husband Bud and four children; Bobbi Roberts of Lake Geneva, Lisa (Tim) Mulvey of Neenah, Leanne (Troy) Fields of New London, and Brian (Vicki) Beversdorf of Hartland.
