Emergency officials say five people were rescued this (Tuesday) morning from a house fire in Ashwaubenon. Ashwaubenon Public Safety officials say the fire was first spotted by a Green Bay Metro Fire Chaplain who was passing by the home and noticed smoke coming out of the attached garage. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found five adults in the basement. They had to be pulled out of a basement window. They were treated at the scene. Fire officials say the home sustained smoke, fire and water damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
