The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is extending the deadline for potential hemp farmers by three months. They will now have until March 1st to apply for a license or an extension. The previous deadline was December 31st. The state awarded licenses to 242 hemp farmers in Wisconsin for the 2018 growing season. The licenses allow them to grow industrial hemp.
