Players and coaches on both sides say tonight’s (Thursday’s) N-F-L showdown in Seattle is more than a battle of a couple of break-even football teams. Green Bay brings a record of 4-4-1 into the contest at CenturyLink Field against the Seahawk’s 4-5 mark. The teams have split their last six meetings and both are led by elite quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson. Seattle’s usually tough defense has fallen off a step or two, but it is still the second-best in N-F-C scoring defense at 21.3 points-a-game. Both teams need a win to keep slim hopes alive for a Wild Card playoff position.
