A duck hunter had to be rescued after his boat capsized in the Bay of Green Bay Saturday morning in Oconto County. Just before 8 Saturday morning rescue crews were called to the Pensaukee River for a report of a man in the water with his capsized boat about 200 yards from the landing in the Town of Pensaukee. The Oconto Fire and Rescue Department says the man was in the water southeast of the mouth of the river for about 20 minutes. His friends were able to pull him into their boat. However, that boat would not start so they called for help. The friends told officials the man was in a lay out boat duck hunting when it began to take on water and he capsized. Everyone was able to make it to shore safely. Officials say the man had no apparent injury but was treated for hypothermia at a local hospital.
