Tuesday night, the Shawano County Conservation Association is sponsoring their annual Buck Fever Night, which is held at the Shawano County Highway Department, located along East Richmond Street in Shawano.
Wildlife Biologist Kay Brockman Mederas says it’s something the whole family can enjoy, as the preparation for deer season begins.
“It’s a family event and it’s pretty much booths around the shop,” she said. “You can go from table to table, there’s raffles, there’s food, there’s a lot of information, kids games, and they usually have the archery area set up for kids to shoot a bow and arrow. It’s a nice family event and everyone gets fired up for deer season.
Buck Fever Night is free to attend and runs from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
