Sharon Ann Beil, age 73 of Shawano, passed away Monday evening, September 24, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Maple Lane in Shawano.
Sharon was born August 23, 1945 in Clintonville, the daughter of the late James and Lerie (Lohff) Westfahl. She was a graduate of Shawano High School. On April 24, 1971 she was united in marriage to Edmund Beil at St. Paul Stony Hill Church in Shawano. The couple lived in Shawano their entire married life. Sharon had worked on her family farm as a young adult, and was a homemaker following her marriage.
In April of 1987 Sharon had a serious accident which resulted in a traumatic brain injury that would change her life forever. She carried on with her life, though she endured many challenges. Her hobbies included growing flowers and gardening, jigsaw puzzles, shopping, going to the Flea Market, listening to music at Memorial Park, going for car rides, watching local parades, and attending local fairs.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Edmund Beil; her sister, Eileen (Fred) Tesch of Neenah; her brother, Stanley (Kathryn) Westfahl of Clintonville; her niece, Katie Westfahl of Green Bay; her nephews, Matthew (Amy) Tesch of Appleton, Tony (Sandy) Tesch of Kiel, Brian (friend Amy Olson) Westfahl of Clintonville, and Bradley (friend Lindsey Geddes) Westfahl of Clintonville; great niece, Courtney Tesch; great nephews, Tyler, Ryan, Logan, and Cooper Tesch; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service for Sharon will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church Stony Hill of Shawano. Pastor John Eyer will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery following the service. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:30 AM until the hour of service.
