The Clintonville City Council defeats a motion for a full refund of employees but will give back 50%. City employees must use vacation days and comp time to be paid for the house they didn’t work during the snow storm that closed City Hall in April. City Administrator Sharon Eveland requested that those hours be refunded back to the employees, but overall only half the hours will be refunded according to the council meeting that took place June 12th. Other city employees are not happy with the result since they had to work regardless and now don’t see any benefits since they are deemed “essential personnel.” Despite the disagreement the council approved a 50% pay back of 87.75 hours of time.
