The Clintonville Fire Department says the Moose Lodge is a total loss following a Friday evening fire.
The fire started in the kitchen area during a fish fry. Crews were on hand for almost eight hours in the bitter cold. Officials said that everyone safely made it outside.
The Clintonville Fire and Police Department, along with the Marion, Bear Creek, Pella, Navarino-Lessor, Nichols, New London, and Embarass Fire Departments were all dispatched to the scene.
Clintonville residents may have noticed that there water was a little different Friday night and Saturday morning. The city’s police department said this was due to the large amount of water supply needed for the fire. Pumps to assist with water pressure had to be turned on which caused some sediments to be moved around the water system. Police told residents there was no need to be concerned.
