- An employee at the Shawano Walmart was fired for stealing food from the store yesterday. The man’s boss reported the theft to police and said he would be firing the employee.
- Shawano Police say they are investigating a report of a stolen gun from a locked vehicle. Police say the theft occurred last week but the man just realized the gun was missing from a vehicle at the 500 block of prospect circle.
- A sedan crashed into a snowbank yesterday. The car’s axle reportedly snapped and caused it to slide.
- Police were asked to check on the welfare of two dogs at the 900 block of E. 5th street. A complainant told reported that they were outside in a fenced kennel without a doghouse or any shelter.
- A utility problem was reported at E. Green Bay Street and Airport Dr. The complainant said they sat through three light changes and the northbound light would not change off red. An officer came to the scene, sat through three cycles and reported the lights to be operating normally.
