A setback for the Stockbridge-Munsee tribe in their lawsuit over the Ho-Chunk Nation and its casino expansion plans. A U.S. District judge has sided with the Ho Chunk Nation, and dismissed Ho-Chunk from the lawsuit. The Stockbridge -Munsee filed the lawsuit over the Ho-Chunk plans to expand its casino in Shawano County. That casino is near one run by the Stockbridge-Munsee. The judge says the Stockbridge-Munsee waited too long to file its challenge. He says he will rule later on the tribe’s claim against the state.
