Todd A. “Stretch” Corn, Sr., age 48 of Neopit, entered into the Spirit World unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, October 18, 2017 in Wausau.
Todd was born August 3, 1969 in Shawano, a son of the late Richard and Donna (Irving) Corn, Jr. He attended school and graduated from Menominee Indian High School. In 2001, he was in a bad car accident that left him a paraplegic. He had been employed at the Tribal Enterprise until his accident.
He is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Before his accident, he enjoyed arts and crafts. Todd loved to watch football, boxing, auto racing (and 496). He liked spending time in the woods when able. Most important to him was spending time with family and friends.
Todd is survived by his son, Todd (Emmie) Corn, Jr. of Neopit; his grandchildren, Derek Corn and Kyliegh Corn; special children, Tim, Bart, Myra, Ashley, Amos, Bubba, Reva, Shane, Lee, Anna, Nick, Kiki, Donna, Christy, Latisha, Clarabell, Tony Duran, Chauch, Aron, Whitney, Jordan, and Nelly; numerous special grandchildren; siblings, Joyce (Randy) Dick, Lori Corn, Emmy Corn, Roberta Boyd, Holly Corn, Lori Ninham; special brothers, Cheequah, Herman, Sport, Mike, and Joe; special mother, Delores Caldwell; special friends, Jersey Joe, Dana, Cleo, Sam, Gaynel, Tina, Arch, and Wade; aunts and uncles, Suzie, Elaine, and Danny; special aunts, Dory and Kathy Grignon; godmother, Rose Shanandore; and his special family, the Grignons. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rick Corn; son, Derek Corn; nephew William Peters; godfather, Springer; and special brothers, Abby and Spike.
A Funeral Mass for Todd A. Corn, Sr., will be celebrated on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit. Fr. Joel Jores will be the Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the Corn residence, N3421 Cottage Avenue, (White City) Neopit after 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2017 until 9:30 AM on Saturday when the procession leaves for church. A Parish Wake service will take place on Friday at 7:00 PM at the Corn residence.
