Red Raiders Fall to 2-2 On Last Second Field Goal

The Notre Dame Tritons improved to 4-0 with a close 24-21 win over Pulaski. Andrew Gruesen hit a 37-yard field goal with one second remaining to break a 21-21 tie. The touchdown was set up by a couple of big passes to Jack Allen on the Tritons final drive. Notre Dame quarterback Wes Glime threw touchdowns to Mitch Chosa and Adam Connor and was 18 of 29 for 229 yards. The Red Raiders scored first on their first drive. Dylan Hendricks broke a 73 yard run for a score. Notre Dame tied the game at the end of first quarter and teams took a 7-7 tie to the half after Pulaski was stopped at the one yard line as end of the first half. Dylan Hendricks had a 43 yard touchdown to open the third quarter before Notre Dame took their first lead of the game with back to back touchdowns to take a 21-14 lead. With three minutes to play, Pulaski scored a 25 yard Dustin Graf pass to tie the game. Notre Dame drove down the field, setting up the game winning field goal.
Hendricks ended the day with 267 yards for Pulaski. The Red Raiders did not have much of a passing threat. Graf completed 2 of 7 passes. Notre Dame’s run game was stalled with Mike Gregoire leading the way with 36 yards rushing.
Pulaski defense ended the game with six sacks and an interception.
