Adam J. Ozuna
A Bear Creek man has been convicted in the death of a Clintonville man last year.
Originally charged with first-degree homicide, 25-year-old Adam Ozuna entered a no-contest plea to a lesser charge of first-degree reckless homicide, and faces up to 60 years in prison, rather than life in prison.
The situation dates back to April of last year, when 911 dispatch received a call from someone saying they noticed a man dead in a ditch in the Town of Matteson. The body was identified as Matthew Pagel of Clintonville.
According to the police report, Pagel appeared to have been beaten, with bruises and blood all over his face. Police reports indicated Ozuna had the purpose of meeting with Pagel to buy Adderall.
Reports indicate that Ozuna, and the second suspect 17-year-old Zachary Hohn of Tigerton, allegedly attempted to rob Pagel, killed him and left his body.
Hohn is scheduled for a jury trial in July. Ozuna is scheduled for sentencing in May.
