Shawano Police were busy throughout day on April Fools Day. Officers were dispatched just before 1:30 a.m. to a disturbance at Aspen Court, where a caller reported a possibly intoxicated individual yelling and causing concern. Additional disturbance calls followed later in the morning on East Maurer Street, with reports of loud yelling and a woman screaming inside a residence.
Around 3:40 a.m., police responded to disorderly conduct at the Kwik Trip on East Green Bay Street. Authorities say a male suspect fled the area, and a handgun casing was reportedly found at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
Traffic-related calls also kept officers busy, including a hazard near Green Bay Street and Lakeland Road, and a hit-and-run crash on North Main Street involving a BMW SUV. Later in the day, a reckless driving complaint reported a vehicle traveling over 100 miles per hour on Highway 29, nearly striking farm equipment.
Police also handled several welfare checks, including one involving a potentially suicidal individual, and another where a man was found passed out at a gas pump but later revived.
Additional calls included an animal welfare complaint involving neglected dogs, a vehicle lockout at Walmart, and multiple disturbance reports, including a serious incident on East Richmond Street where a caller reported an individual threatening another with a knife.
The day ended with a disturbance at a local hotel and a traffic hazard near Aldi’s involving a downed sign.
Clintonville Police kept busy with routine patrols and property checks in the early morning hours of April first.
Officers conducted multiple business checks along South Main Street between 1:00 and just after 2:00 a.m., part of ongoing efforts to deter overnight crime and ensure businesses were secure.
At around 1:37 a.m., police responded to an open door on East 12th Street. Officers checked the property and secured the scene, with no immediate issues reported.
Extra patrols were logged throughout the morning, including on West Green Tree Road, 20th Street, 9th Street, and Anne Street, reflecting increased visibility in residential areas.
Later in the day, just after 12:20 p.m., Clintonville officers assisted another agency on Pearl Street. No further details have been released.
Authorities remind residents and business owners to report suspicious activity and ensure doors and properties are properly secured.

Throughout the morning, officers responded to welfare checks, including one in Wittenberg involving a distressed caller, as well as a custodial interference complaint in Gresham tied to a missed child exchange.
Law enforcement activity continued with multiple warrant actions, including another individual turning themselves in later in the morning, and coordination with Forest County authorities.
By midday, deputies were investigating a threatening complaint in the Town of Wittenberg, where a caller reported ongoing threats involving a firearm. In Gresham, authorities assisted the Wisconsin Department of Revenue with executing tax warrants.
The afternoon included a reported theft of an electric bicycle in the Town of Wittenberg, as well as reckless driving complaints in the Birnamwood and Cecil areas. Deputies also responded to a fraud case involving identity theft connected to a Verizon account.
Evening calls included an illegal burning complaint in the Town of Wescott, reports of cattle in the roadway near Pulaski, and property damage after a mailbox was struck in Wittenberg. Deputies also handled a trespassing complaint and an active disturbance along the Witt-Birn Townline Road.
The day concluded with a traffic hazard on Highway 29 involving a vehicle with no working taillights.
