Shawano Police kept busy Sunday with a mix of disturbances, crashes, and welfare checks across the city.
Officers responded just before 5 a.m. to a vehicle that went into a ditch near County Road B and Bay Lakes Road. Authorities say the driver’s wife had already left the scene before crews arrived.
Later in the morning, police were called to a disturbance at a Richmond Street location involving a disgruntled guest who reportedly became combative and refused to leave. Officers were able to resolve that situation.
Police also handled multiple welfare checks throughout the day, including one involving concerns for a child’s safety at an East Lieg Avenue apartment. Details on that incident have not been released.
Traffic-related calls continued, including a crash involving a snowbank at Highway 22 and County Road BE, and another minor accident in a Kwik Trip parking lot on Green Bay Street.
In the afternoon, officers responded to a reckless driving complaint near Highway 22 and Friendship Road.
The day ended with a late-night disturbance on South Andrews Street and several abandoned 911 calls.
Clintonville Police were kept busy throughout the day on March 29th, responding to a mix of routine patrols and more serious calls.
Officers conducted multiple tavern checks and traffic stops along South Main Street in the early morning hours, along with a report of property damage in that same area just before 1 a.m.
Patrol activity remained steady overnight and into the morning, with extra patrols logged across several neighborhoods including 7th Street, 9th Street, Anne Street, and Memorial Circle. Officers also completed several business checks along County Highway I and South Main Street.
The most significant incident of the day came just before 9:30 a.m., when police received a report of a vehicle theft on Brix Street. No additional details have been released.
Later in the day, officers handled two animal nuisance complaints on North Main Street, an ambulance call on East 2nd Street, and suspicious activity reported on Industrial Avenue.
Police also assisted other agencies on County Highway WW and South Clinton Avenue, and responded to an information report on North Clinton Avenue.
The evening wrapped up with additional traffic stops at key intersections, including South Main and East 1st, and North Main and Green Tree Road.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to 27 incidents across the county on March 29th, including multiple crashes, emergency calls, and law enforcement assists.
The day began with a property damage crash just before 5 a.m. at County Road B and Bay Lakes Road, where a vehicle reportedly went into the ditch. About three hours later, deputies responded to a personal injury crash at Highways 47 and 156 near Bonduel. Details on injuries have not been released.
Throughout the morning, deputies handled several 911 calls, including an open-line call from Pulaski where voices could be heard in the background, and another call in Bonduel later in the afternoon.
Criminal activity included a report of vandalism in Birnamwood, where a mailbox was damaged, and a trespassing complaint in the Town of Shiocton involving a vehicle being driven without lights. Another trespassing report came in later in the day after a homeowner spotted an unknown on security cameras.
Deputies also responded to reckless driving complaints on Highway 29 and Highway 47, and made contact in a bail jumping case in the Town of Carroll.
Several welfare-related calls were reported, including a check on a driver believed to be suffering from dementia and swerving on a rural road near Pulaski. In Shawano, deputies also investigated a report of a drug needle found outside a residence.
During the evening hours, deputies assisted on a domestic disturbance in the Town of Wescott involving allegations of assault and later responded to a situation at the sheriff’s office where a man reported being suicidal.
The day wrapped up with multiple assist calls, including helping individuals in need of food and other aid, along with a final suspicious complaint late Sunday night.
