Shawano Police handled a wide range of calls Monday, including several welfare checks, a reported assault, and a disturbance tied to a domestic situation.
Officers were first called to East Richmond Street for a welfare check after a patient failed to log into a virtual program and couldn’t be reached. A second check followed shortly after at the same location.
Around 10 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on East 5th Street. According to dispatch notes, a woman attempting to leave her boyfriend was reportedly prevented from doing so, leading to a physical altercation. The situation was later resolved.
Later in the day, officers investigated suspected drug activity on South Smalley Street after reports of heavy traffic at all hours.
Police also responded to a troubling welfare check involving a possible suicidal subject, and another involving children who may have been left home alone.
In the afternoon, a 6-year-old girl was found wandering near Richmond Street and Maiden Lane. Officers worked to safely reunite her with family.
The day also included a reported assault on South Union Street, a stray dog call, and a false 911 dial believed to have been triggered by a phone assistant.
Clintonville Police were active throughout the day on March 23rd, responding to a mix of routine patrols and community calls.
Officers made a traffic stop just before 1 a.m. at Highway 45 and County Highway C. In the early morning hours, police conducted several business checks along Commercial Avenue and Industrial Avenue, as well as Industrial Court, as part of ongoing overnight security efforts.
Extra patrols were carried out shortly after 6 a.m. on 9th Street and Anne Street, increasing visibility in residential areas during the morning hours.
Just after noon, officers responded to an ordinance violation on Stewart Street. Later in the afternoon, a welfare check was conducted on Motor Street to ensure the safety of a resident.
The day wrapped up with a 911 call just after 4 p.m. on South Park Street. Authorities have not released additional details on that incident.
Clintonville Police remind residents to report suspicious activity and continue to keep a watchful eye in their neighborhoods.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls across the county on March 23rd, logging 37 incidents from early morning through the evening hours.
The day began just after midnight with a trespassing complaint near Antigo, where a homeowner reported an intoxicated individual entering a residence and sitting on a couch. That incident led to an arrest.
Throughout the morning, deputies handled multiple transports, court-related duties, and a disabled vehicle along Highway 29. Drug-related calls were reported in Tigerton and at Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School, where a complaint was initiated involving several individuals.
Deputies also responded to a welfare check near Pulaski and issued a citation for a weight limit violation in the Cecil area. Late in the morning, authorities investigated a report of elderly abuse in Wittenberg and a theft complaint in Bonduel.
The afternoon brought a mix of public safety calls, including traffic hazards, a deer struck along Highway 45, and multiple vehicle issues. One 911 call near Tigerton was determined to be accidental.
In Shawano County, deputies also dealt with livestock on the roadway, reporting several cows loose near County Highway M, and assisted with a vehicle lockout in Wittenberg.
Evening calls included a disturbance in Bowler, property damage in Bonduel involving a damaged mailbox and brick pillar, and multiple reckless driving complaints, including reports of impaired driving and unsafe UTV operation.
