BONDUEL, WI- The Shawano County Farm Bureau has announced that Kurowski Dairy will host the 2026 Shawano County Brunch on the Farm, set for Sunday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The annual event invites community members to experience life on a working dairy farm while enjoying a morning of family-friendly activities and local agriculture. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the farm, learn about modern dairy practices, and connect with the families who help drive the area’s agricultural economy.
Kurowski Dairy has been family-owned and operated by Gloria and Cletus Kurowski since 1990. The farm’s roots date back even further, with Cletus beginning his dairy career in 1980 on his parents’ farm. Over the years, the operation has grown into a multi-generational effort. Their daughter, Tia Arndt, returned to the farm full-time after graduating from UW–River Falls in 2013, while their son, Travis Kurowski, rejoined the operation part-time in the fall of 2025.
Today, the farm includes the involvement of extended family members, including Tia’s husband, Harlow Arndt, their children, Isabella and Sawyer, and Travis’s fiancée, Bella Schroeder. Organizers say that strong family support continues to play a key role in the farm’s ongoing success.
Kurowski Dairy currently milks about 130 cows and manages nearly 700 acres of cropland surrounding the farm. The operation has seen several updates over the years, including the conversion of its original tie-stall barn into a modern swing-10 milking parlor in 2008. Since previously hosting Brunch on the Farm in 2014, the family has also added a calf barn aimed at improving animal health and care, along with a continued focus on strengthening herd genetics.
In addition to showcasing local agriculture, the event serves as a way to connect the public with farming practices and the people behind them. Organizers encourage community members to attend and learn more about dairy farming firsthand.
The Shawano County Farm Bureau is also seeking volunteers to help make the event possible. Those interested in volunteering on the day of the event or joining the planning committee can reach out by email at shawanobrunch@gmail.com.
