Uncontested Races and Write-Ins Highlight Weyauwega-Fremont Election Ballot

WEYAUWEGA, WI – Voters in the Weyauwega-Fremont area will see a mix of uncontested races and write-in opportunities on the April 7 election ballot.
Several local incumbents, including Fremont village trustees and some city council members, are running unopposed as they seek re-election. However, at least two key positions, including a Weyauwega City Council seat and a school board seat, have no candidates filed and will be decided by write-in votes.
In one Weyauwega race, a candidate withdrew after the filing deadline, meaning their name will still appear on the ballot despite no longer actively running.
Along with local races, voters will also cast ballots in county and statewide contests, including judicial races. Officials encourage residents to visit MyVote dot Wisconsin dot gov for registration details, polling locations, and a full look at what’s on their ballot.
