Shawano Police were kept busy Thursday with a mix of criminal activity, safety concerns, and welfare checks across the city.
Officers responded to a late-night drug complaint at a Shawano hotel, where a caller reported suspected dealing activity. That investigation remains active.
Earlier in the day, police handled multiple trespassing incidents, including a report of individuals living beneath grandstands and starting fires, raising safety concerns.
Vandalism was also reported, with a vehicle keyed for the third time in recent weeks—prompting the owner to install cameras.
A welfare check involving a 12-year-old girl drew attention after concerns she had not been attending school or checking in with authorities.
Police also responded to a harassment complaint involving threats made toward a local humane society.
In addition, officers dealt with reckless driving on Highway 29, a malfunctioning traffic signal, and several vehicle lockouts.
Clintonville Police handled a variety of calls throughout the day on March 19th, ranging from routine patrols to emergency response.
The day began with a citizen assist on Anne Street, followed by multiple extra patrols across the city, including 9th, West, and Anne Streets, along with a school patrol near 20th Street.
Officers investigated a suspicious situation on North 12th Street and later responded to a lost-and-found report on South Main Street.
Emergency crews were called to two separate fire incidents—one on Motor Street late in the morning, and another on East Morning Glory Drive in the afternoon. Details on damage or injuries have not been released.
Police also responded to a theft on Harriet Street and a disabled vehicle at Main and 18th.
Additional calls included an ordinance violation on Stewart Street, an ambulance assist on Spring Street, and a traffic stop on South Main.
The day wrapped up with a late-night business check on East Green Tree Road.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to more than 20 incidents across the county on March 19th, including traffic hazards, a rollover crash, and multiple emergency calls.
The day began just after midnight with a warrant arrest involving Brown County authorities.
Throughout the morning, deputies handled several traffic hazards, including a vehicle partially blocking the roadway in Tigerton and debris on Highway 29 near Leopolis. Another report involved a semi with a blown tire sending debris across the highway.
911 hang-up calls were reported in Bowler and later in the evening, where deputies determined children had been playing with a phone.
A welfare check in the Wittenberg area raised concern after Meals on Wheels was unable to reach a resident due to snow blocking access.
In the afternoon, deputies investigated criminal damage on Belle Plaine Avenue, where a shed was entered and property damaged.
Suspicious vehicle complaints were also reported in Bowler and near Pulaski.
Emergency crews were dispatched to assist with a fire call in Tigerton.
The most serious incident came just after 7 p.m. near Highway 32 and Middle Drive in Pulaski, where a vehicle rolled over in the roadway. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle, and alcohol may have been a factor.
Later in the evening, deputies responded to an injured deer on Highway 47 and a disturbance in the Wittenberg area.
