MADISON, WI – Students from across Northeast Wisconsin are preparing to showcase their talents at the upcoming SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference, set for April 7th and 8th in Madison.
More than 1,700 middle school, high school, and college students from around the state are expected to compete in over 60 career and technical events. Schools from the area taking part include Bonduel, Clintonville, Gillett, Gresham, Pulaski, Shawano, Wittenberg-Birnamwood, and several others across the region.
Competitions will be held at the Alliant Energy Center and Madison Area Technical College, featuring events ranging from welding and robotics to culinary arts and video production. The conference highlights hands-on skills that prepare students for careers in a variety of technical fields.
Top finishers at the state level will earn the opportunity to represent Wisconsin at the national SkillsUSA Championships in Atlanta this June.
