SHAWANO, WI – The city of Shawano is getting ready to celebrate Irish heritage and community spirit as the 40th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns this Saturday.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the Mooseyard in the Shawano Lake area, with participants lining up starting at 10 a.m. at the Shawano Lake Golf Course. Organizers say the annual tradition brings together residents, families, and visitors for a festive celebration filled with Irish pride and plenty of family-friendly fun.
Community members are encouraged to wear their best green attire and gather along the parade route to enjoy the event.
After the parade, the celebration will continue throughout the afternoon and evening with a party bus running to participating local businesses from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. A $5 wristband will be required to ride the bus and take part in the post-parade festivities.
Organizers say the event has become a longtime Shawano tradition and a great way for the community to come together and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
