WAUPACA COUNTY, WI – A man accused of leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase through parts of northeast Wisconsin has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges. Authorities say 38-year-old Kyle Eith entered the plea Friday and also waived his preliminary hearing on seven counts, including fourth-offense operating while intoxicated, connected to a January 19 incident.
According to investigators, the pursuit began in Outagamie County when Wisconsin State Patrol troopers attempted to stop the vehicle. Authorities say the chase reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour before the vehicle eventually entered Waupaca County.
Deputies say when officers attempted to stop the driver in Waupaca County, the vehicle allegedly rammed two squad cars before continuing to flee.
The chase came to an end when the vehicle crashed into a tree, stopping just short of a nearby home. Officials say no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
