Shawano Police were busy Sunday. Just after midnight, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South Smalley Street for a reported trespassing incident involving a no-contact order violation. The matter remains under active investigation.
Around 3 a.m., officers checked on a suspicious situation in the parking lot at Prevea Health on East Green Bay Street, where a woman was contacted. No further details have been released.
Later in the morning, police assisted with a found cell phone near South Lincoln and East Richmond Streets, responded to a vehicle lockout on South Union Street, and handled a stray dog complaint on North Main Street.
In the afternoon, officers investigated a vehicle vandalism complaint on Mountain Bay Trail Drive, where a car had reportedly been keyed.
Sunday evening included a domestic disturbance call on East Lieg Avenue and a reported storage unit break-in on South Park Street, where a scooter and tools were taken.
Clintonville Police Officers conducted multiple traffic stops during the overnight and evening hours, including at East Green Tree Road and Anne Street, North Main and West 13th Street, South Main and Camelia Avenue, North 12th and West 14th Streets, and South Main and 8th Street.
Extra patrols were requested early in the morning on West Street, Anne Street, and 9th Street.
Just after 10 a.m., officers responded to an animal nuisance complaint on North Main Street.
Around 12:30 p.m., police handled a traffic matter at County Highway I and South Main Street.
At about 3:40 p.m., officers were called to a motor vehicle crash on West 13th Street. No additional details have been released.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 incidents yesterday, ranging from traffic crashes to welfare checks and disturbances across the county.
Just after midnight, a traffic violation was reported on Highway 29 and Leopolis Road, where a vehicle was allegedly traveling eastbound in the westbound lane. That case resulted in a citation and arrest.
Around 2:20 a.m., deputies were called to a disturbance near Highway 29 and North Broadway Road in Bonduel. The situation was resolved without further incident.
At 4:20 a.m., authorities responded to a vehicle-versus-deer crash at Highway 22 and Lake Wagner Road in the Town of Clintonville. The deer was reported injured. No serious injuries were reported to the driver.
Deputies conducted multiple welfare checks during the day, including on Woodland Road and County Trunk T. Both incidents were cleared.
Traffic-related calls remained steady throughout the afternoon and evening, including a non-reportable crash at Maple and Cranberry Roads, a traffic hazard at Willow Road and Highway 45, and a property-damage crash at Highway 22 and Lake Crest Drive in Cecil involving debris in the roadway that totaled a vehicle.
Other calls included animal complaints, a noise complaint in Wittenberg, a harassment report, a trespassing complaint on Riverside Drive in Shawano, and several disabled vehicles along Highway 29.
In a separate report, Stockbridge-Munsee Police responded to five calls, including an intoxicated individual and multiple vehicle lockouts at North Star Casino, along with a suspicious vehicle complaint on County Trunk A.
Authorities remind residents to report emergencies immediately and to use caution on area roadways.
