Shawano Police were kept busy throughout the day Thursday responding to a variety of calls across the city.
Officers were called just after midnight to the Four Seasons Resort on North Airport Drive for a report of a suspicious person walking near the semi parking area. The individual was located and the call was closed.
Around 2:30 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on South Main Street, where loud music was reported as an ongoing issue. Officers addressed the situation and cleared the scene.
Later in the morning, authorities assisted with a vehicle lockout at Walmart on East Green Bay Street. No children or pets were inside the vehicle.
Police also responded to a disturbance on South Sawyer Street late Thursday morning, where callers reported ongoing arguing and a crying infant. Officers investigated.
Additional calls for service included a welfare check, multiple juvenile complaints, a medical assist at Belmark on Engel Drive, several vehicle lockouts, traffic enforcement, and two separate 911 hang-up calls.
Clintonville Police responded to a steady flow of calls for service throughout the day Thursday.
Officers conducted several traffic stops, including at Highway 45 and County Highway C just after midnight, West Green Tree Road shortly before 1 p.m., and later in the evening at North 12th and West 12th Streets, Anne Street and North Park Street, and North Main Street at West 13th Street.
Police performed multiple business checks overnight and during the early morning hours on South Main Street and East Green Tree Road. Extra patrols were logged on West Street and Anne Street at 6 a.m.
A 911 call was reported at McKinley Avenue and North Park Street shortly after 6:15 a.m., followed by a noise complaint on Industrial Avenue. Officers also assisted another agency with mutual aid on South Clinton Avenue later in the morning.
Additional calls included a disorderly complaint on Anne Street, citizen assists on North and South Main Streets, welfare checks on Brix Street and North Clinton Avenue, an animal problem near North Main and 20th Street, an animal nuisance on Maize Street, and multiple additional 911 calls throughout the day.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls across the county Thursday.
Just after midnight, a traffic violation was reported at Highway 55 and Tile Drive in Pulaski. Deputies also handled a reckless driving complaint on Highway 45 near Cardinal Lane later in the morning, with callers reporting a vehicle swerving between lanes. Additional reckless driving calls came in during the evening on County Highway ZZ near Birnamwood and on Highway 29 near Highway 55 in the Pulaski area.
Animal-related calls kept deputies busy throughout the day. A dog bite was reported at a Pulaski clinic mid-morning. Multiple deer crashes were logged, including on Highway 47 near Lakeshore Drive and Highway 29 near Tower Lane. Other calls involved injured or sick animals in Cecil, Bonduel, Tigerton, and Pulaski.
Deputies also made several warrant pickups, including individuals wanted out of Winnebago, Oconto, Langlade, and Outagamie counties. Court security at the Shawano County Courthouse resulted in at least one arrest.
Other calls for service included welfare checks at Ho-Chunk Casino in Wittenberg and along Nabor Road, a suspicious person reported passed out in a hotel lobby in Shawano, disabled vehicles in Bowler and Cecil, a non-reportable crash near the Tigerton ballpark, and multiple 911 hang-up or pocket dial calls.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department also assisted with a loose dog near County Highway A Thursday morning and responded to an injury report later in the day.
