SHAWANO, WI – A Shawano-based recovery support organization is expanding its efforts to help individuals and families impacted by substance use and mental health challenges. Justin Krysheski of CORE Recovery Services says the organization focuses on full wraparound care designed to support people long after they leave treatment.
“It’s that full wraparound care,” Krysheski explained. “So once they leave treatment, they can come back and stay in our house, free of charge.” He says CORE works to secure funding throughout the community to ensure individuals in recovery have a safe, stable place to live as they rebuild their lives.
CORE Recovery Services currently operates three recovery homes in Shawano. One house provides space for six men, another serves six women, and a newly added home, opened at the beginning of this month, is designed specifically for women with children.
Krysheski says the goal is to remove barriers that can often lead to relapse, including unstable housing and lack of support. By offering structured, community-backed housing at no cost to residents, CORE aims to strengthen long-term recovery outcomes and provide families with a path forward together.
